Meet the Chapter Leaders 

 
Pratishtha Parajuli
Pratishtha ParajuliNepal
Pratishtha Parajuli is from Nepal. She is a graduate of the very first cohort of Climate Friendly Travel Diploma with SUNx Malta in collaboration with the Institute of Tourism Studies in Malta. Prior this, she had a postgraduate in International Sustainable Tourism Management from Monash University, Australia. She has had several years of sustainable tourism industry experiences working for tour operators and convention centre in Nepal, India, Australia and Canada. Her work has mainly been on tourism research, niche tourism product development using natural and cultural resources involving local communities where possible, pricing, operations and promotion of itineraries, tourist attractions, events, conference, services and destinations. With passion and teacher’s training certifications obtained in contemplative practices such as yoga, mindfulness meditation combined with professional background, education and training on sustainable & regenerative tourism and Climate Friendly Travel lately, Pratishtha intends to instill climate hope with the wider community by means of compassion for behavioural changes to reinforce human-earth connection.

I am a trained Trainer of Sustainable Tourism, an UBUNTU Leader, a student of PG Diploma in Climate Friendly Travel, a graduate of Masters of Environment and Sustainable Development and Masters in Rural Development. As an enthusiast, sustainable learner and practitioner with more than a decade of experiences in the field of tourism, DRR, Project Management & Education system. I am associated with Nepal Tourism Board as a Public Relations and Publicity Officer and is the focal person of Nepal Tourism Crisis Cell. As a student pursuing a qualification in Climate Friendly Travel through SUNx Malta in collaboration with ITS Malta; I aspire to continue gathering knowledge, practice and the sharing of different practical interventions which can help in sustainability.
